Do I have to be an environmental extremist to want clean air and clean water? |
|
If you are a conservative American who is concerned with our nation's policies regarding pollution, energy, and the environment then you are an "Envirocon" or Environmental Conservative.
One need not be an environmental extremist to want clean air, clean water, energy alternatives, and protection for our nation's natural treasures. Furthermore, our environmental concerns cannot be answered as if they exist in a vacuum. Our nation's demand for conservation and protection of our natural resources is not diametrically opposed to the need for free trade, energy independence, and economic growth. In fact our plan must be a component of each of those things. Conservative Americans are tired of seeing our energy needs, as well as our environmental troubles, used as political footballs by the extreme left. We want leadership on this issue without the hypocrisy and scare tactics that have become a part of today's political environmentalism. |
